Delivery terms incoterms DDP and DDU

Incoterms are eleven unified rules that are applied in global trade and fix the rights and obligations of the parties to a foreign trade agreement regarding the delivery of products from the seller to the buyer. In our work we mainly use DDP, DDU.

1) DDP is when the client pays all customs duties to us before sending the goods, and we ourselves pay them for the client at the customs office of destination. Mainly used for delivery to the countries of the USA, Canada, Australia, Mexico, as well as Europe and England

But, for England, you need to check with the client whether he needs to return VAT when importing goods to England, if the client says that it is necessary, then we use DDU delivery

2) DDU is when the client pays all customs duties after the goods arrive at the customs office of destination and the customs office issues an invoice for payment of customs duties to us, and we to the client.

In order to quickly resolve the delivery and ensure the safety of the company, our team approximately calculates the customs duty based on the value of the consignment, which must be paid before shipment, along with the delivery fee.

And after the customs office issues an invoice, the client pays the difference, or if the duty is less than the client’s advance payment, we will refund the difference.

All documents are provided.

Often used for delivery to England. When delivering DDU to England, we always ask the client for information about the client's company, such as:

✅ Client's company name

✅ VAT number - company tax number for Europe or England

✅ EORI number is an England registration and identification number for companies that import or export goods to or from England.

After delivering the goods to England and paying customs duties, we provide clients with the following documents:

✅Form C88 - a document confirming that the goods have passed customs procedures, customs duties have been paid and officially imported into England.

✅Form E2 - a document confirming that the goods have been paid VAT for the goods.
