Delivery terms incoterms DDP and DDU
Incoterms are eleven unified rules that are applied in global trade and fix the rights and obligations of the parties to a foreign trade agreement regarding the delivery of products from the seller to the buyer. In our work we mainly use DDP, DDU.
1) DDP is when the client pays all customs duties to us before sending the goods, and we ourselves pay them for the client at the customs office of destination. Mainly used for delivery to the countries of the USA, Canada, Australia, Mexico, as well as Europe and England
But, for Europe, you need to check with you, as a client, whether you need to return VAT when importing goods to Europe?
if you say it is necessary, then we use DDU delivery.
2) DDU is when the client pays all customs duties after the goods arrive at the customs office of destination and the customs office issues an invoice for payment of customs duties to us, and we ship to you, our client.
In order to quickly resolve the delivery and ensure the safety of the company, our team approximately calculates the customs duty based on the value of the consignment, which must be paid before shipment, along with the delivery fee.
And after the customs office issues an invoice, the client pays the difference, or if the duty is less than the client’s advance payment, we will refund the difference.
All documents are provided.
When delivering DDU to Europe, we always request company information from our client, such as:
Client's company name
VAT number - company tax number for Europe or England
An EORI number is a European Union registration and identification number for companies that import or export goods to or from Europe.
After delivering the goods to Europe and paying customs duties, we provide clients with the following documents:
Form C88 is a document confirming that the goods have passed customs procedures, customs duties have been paid and officially imported into Europe or England.
Form E2 is a document confirming that the goods have been paid VAT for the goods.
Types of delivery that our company can provide:
✅ Express delivery (English: Express delivery; Chinese: 快递) is the delivery of individual boxes for each client separately, by plane from companies such as UPS, FedEx, DHL. As a rule, a product does not go through a large number of stages in the supply chain. This is the fastest type of delivery. Average delivery time is 3-5 working days.
✅ Air consolidation (English: Air consolidation; Chinese: 空派) - delivery of consolidated goods to different cargo clients by air. A product usually goes through a large number of stages in the supply chain. This is a relatively fast type of delivery. The average delivery time is 5-15 working days from the moment the plane departs to the recipient.
There are 2 types of air consolidation delivery:
a) Direct flight (English: Direct flight; Chinese: 直飞) is a fast type of air delivery from one airport in China to one airport in the destination country, roughly speaking from point A to point B without additional stops. The average delivery time is 5-10 working days from the moment the plane departs to the recipient.
b) Transit flight (English: Transit flight; Chinese: 转飞) is a slower type of air delivery from one airport in China, through several airports in different cities and countries, and sometimes goods are reloaded from one aircraft to another at these transit airports . The average delivery time is 10-15 working days from the moment the plane departs to the recipient.
Fast sea (English Fast sea; Chinese 快船) is the fast delivery of goods by sea, by Matson or EXX (Express Express X) companies from one port of China, to one port of the destination country, roughly speaking from point A to point B without additional stops. The average delivery time is 15-25 working days from the moment of sailing to the recipient.
Sea (English: Sea; Chinese: 海派) is the slow delivery of goods by sea, from one port in China, through several ports in different cities and countries, and sometimes goods are transshipped from one ship to another in these transit ports. The average delivery time is 25-45 working days from the moment the ship sails to the recipient.
